Water Projects In Uganda. With a focus on sustainability. The Project will support GoU through the Ministry of Water and Environment MWE and National. They had to walk 2 km each way with 5 gallon jerry cans so each kid could have one small drink per day. When the Living Water Uganda drill crew arrived in Kyenturegye to drill a borehole benefitting 74 households there was a desperate need for safe drinking water as households were depending only on a hand dug pond to support their immediate domestic water needs.
This giving community supports ongoing sustainability programs that help Rubana Yagilewo Community maintain access to. The Water Projects WaSH program in Western Uganda aims to push the limits for local ownership of clean water access points and behavior change in sanitation and hygiene practices through contextual water development. Chlorine kills 9999 of harmful bacteria keeps water free from contamination for up to 72 hours and reduces the incidence of diarrhea by 40. We work with communities to address overlapping issues of clean water health and the environment. It is carried out in Eastern Uganda in 6 small towns with existing piped water systems Kamuli Nawanyago Palisa Tirinyi Nankoma and Busembatia and 4 so-called rural growth centers that do not have piped water systems yet. WaterAid Uganda are involved in four main areas.

WaterAid Uganda are involved in four main areas. By partnering with other stakeholders local and national government and key players in the water and financial sectors were working to remove barriers and build an enabling environment for affordable financing for water and sanitation. Lifewater constructs custom water access and sanitation solutions in the globes hardest to reach communities.
