Lake Ontario Water Levels 2016. Lake Ontarios daily average level continued to rise reaching 7588 m on May 29 6 cm higher than the record high set at the beginning of June 1952. Data since 1918 have come from a designated set of gauges in each lake. Pre-1918 data came from one water level gauge per lake. Lawrence River are controlled by the Moses-Saunders hydropower dam on the St.
Recent Expected Conditions. Lake Superior Lake St. Water levels on Lake Ontario and the upper St. Elevations are referenced to. Lawrence River water levels has been approved by both the US. Historical Monthly and Yearly Mean Water Level 1918-2016.
In addition there are detailed reports for each of the five most recent years based on data provided by the TSW and Parks Canada.
Mean for month last year. By May 10 the daily average Lake Ontario water level was 7580 m only 2 cm below the highest level ever recorded 19182016 at the beginning of June 1952. Lake Superior Lake St. Recent Expected Conditions. The high water level period for Lake Ontario is early to mid-summer May-July range and the low water level period is late fall to winter Nov-Feb range which can be seen in the graph above. Pre-1918 data came from one water level gauge per lake.
